Industrial Design

Industrial design rights are intellectual property rights that make exclusive the visual design of objects that are not purely utilitarian. A design patent is also part of it. An industrial design consists of the creation of a shape with colors, that can be 2-D or 3-D and contain an aesthetic value. An industrial design can be used to produce a product, industrial commodity, or handicraft.

For this intellectual right, there is international registration available through WIPO (world intellectual property organization).
