The financial statements are documents with information on the business activities and financial performance of companies. There are 2 types of financial statements.

1-Private use: The private use statements are exclusively used by companies to look for ways of improving their business by reaching better profitability,  quality, cost reduction, innovation, etc.

2-Public use (for investors, governments, or anyone else):

public-use statements are used for tax, financing, investing, among other purposes. Accountants and government agencies check these statements to verify transparency and accuracy. Public statements include:

• Balance sheet
• Income statement
• Cash flow statement.
