PAtch Boys Review

Patch Boys is a home repair franchise that has been receiving a lot of complaints lately. Many people are saying that the company is a scam, that it stole their money. Others have said that the work done by Patch Boys was subpar and not worth the cost. If you are considering hiring this company, it is important to read these reviews first. You don’t want to end up wasting your time and money on a business that isn’t reputable!

Consumer states that he purchased a franchise, The Patch Boys.  He paid 125,000 for the purchase of the franchise and they promised him training, but they never did that.  They changed the password to his business account twice.  He now doesn’t have access to advertisements and employees.  They have also done a background check on him without his permission, which is illegal.  He states that they have also sold a territory twice.

An In-Depth Look at the Complaints

Patch Boys

Patch Boys has been around for a few years now, and it seems that they are starting to get a bad reputation. This is probably due to the number of complaints that users filed against them. Last month, the company received a class action lawsuit against it. So, what’s going on? Are Patch Boys a scam, or are they just having some growing pains? Let’s take a closer look.

What are the employees/franchisees saying?

We looked at some references from Glassdoor

On one hand, you have short and weet reviews like this one:

Great support. Great work/life balance for franchisees. Franchise fees CRM system is just ok.

And then you find others like this one:

If I could I'd give zero stars!!! I worked for this company and they were the worst people ever to work for. They wanted me to put out the lowest quality work EVER, which is work I refused to have my name on at the end of the day!!! The owners of the company have never done a drywall repair in their lives and yet they want to tell people like myself, who has been doing it for almost 20 years, how to put mud on walls. I quit working for them after 3 weeks of getting treated terrible and then they shorted me hundreds of dollars of overtime pay which when I reported them to the Tennessee Department of Labor they chose to ignore their demands to pay me what was owed me. So I ended up taking them to court where they lied and brought in forged documents, which they got caught at. Then they lied and told the court that they gave me all kinds of hats and shirts that they never gave me that added up to be hundreds of dollars and got that deducted from what they owed me (which if they really gave me that stuff they would have deducted it from my final paycheck and not waited until I took them to court to drum up all this fake stuff). And I'm not the first employee they've screwed over on not paying either....I guess if you quit on immature, unexperienced, unprofessional, poor business owners you get a bad wrath of retaliation from them!!! BEWARE OF THE PATCH BOYS IN THE NASHVILLE AREA!!! They have burned a lot of bridges with a lot of people in the short amount of time that they have been in business here and they really don't produce quality work. For them it's quantity over quality. There are much better people out there then The Patch Boys. If you want it done right call someone who actually knows what they're doing and has actually done drywall work before....these people over charge for poor quality work and have no clue how to run a business. Not to mention they are the most underhanded dishonest people you'll ever meet. They will turn on you in a heartbeat....they are young and immature and it shows in how they treat people when they want something and don't get their way.

What’s the verdict? Are Patch Boys a Scam?

The Patch Boys

Honestly, it’s hard to say for sure. There are certainly a lot of complaints against them, and the quality of their work doesn’t seem to be up to par. However, these reviews seems to indicate a problem with how the employees are experiencing the brand, not the same case with franchisees.

So it’s important to do your research before making a decision. If you’re still not sure, it might be best to steer clear.
